Best Little Dog
Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by The Best Little Dog, including puppy daycare, enrichment activities, and app-based updates. By enrolling your puppy, you agree to the terms below.

 

1. Puppy Eligibility

  • Puppies must be between 12 weeks and 18 months of age.

  • Only small-breed puppies (under 12kg fully grown) are accepted.

  • All puppies must complete a trial session and pass a behavioural assessment before being offered a regular place.

  • Ongoing suitability is at our reasonable discretion and reviewed regularly.

 

2. Health & Vaccination Requirements

  • Puppies must be in good health and free from contagious conditions.

  • Vaccinations must be current for:

    • DHPPi (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza)

    • Leptospirosis (L2 or L4)

    • Kennel Cough (Bordetella)

  • Flea, tick, and worm treatment must be up to date.

  • We cannot accept puppies showing signs of illness within 72 hours of attendance (e.g. diarrhoea, vomiting, coughing, lethargy).

  • Dogs in season or unneutered may be refused or required to take a temporary break. 

 

3. Behaviour & Supervision

  • Puppies must be friendly, well-socialised, and suitable for a group environment.

  • We supervise all interactions and group puppies thoughtfully by energy, size, and temperament.

  • If your puppy develops problematic behaviours (e.g. persistent barking, biting, guarding), we may suggest temporary breaks, behaviourist support, or removal from the program.

 

4. Injury from Puppy Play

  • Despite best efforts, puppy play carries inherent risks that includes minor injuries such as scratches, nips or small bites, and tumbles or bumps.

 

  • On rare occasions, more serious injuries may occur even in a well-managed, low-risk environment.

  • By enrolling your puppy, you acknowledge these risks as part of natural socialization and agree that The Best Little Dog and its staff shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, or veterinary expenses arising from or connected with your puppy’s attendance, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

 

5. Emergency Care

  • You are strongly advised to provide an emergency contact and veterinary information upon registration.

  • In the event of illness or injury, we will contact you or your emergency contact immediately.

  • If urgent treatment is needed and you cannot be reached, you authorize us to make decisions deemed to be in your puppy’s best interest, including seeking veterinary care with our partner veterinary practice, Virtue Vets.

  • Any veterinary costs incurred remain the responsibility of the owner.

 

6. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

  • Invoices must be paid in advance or via approved monthly billing.

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will not be charged.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable.

  • No-shows will be charged the full session fee.

  • Prepaid sessions or packages are non-transferable and must be used within their validity period.

 

7. Late Pick-Up Policy

  • Pick-up must be completed by 18:30 unless otherwise agreed

  • Late collection will incur a charge of £15 per 15 minutes (or part thereof), to ensure proper staffing and care.

 

8. Media & App Consent

  • We regularly photograph puppies for app updates and social media.

  • By completing the booking, you grant permission for your puppy to be photographed or filmed. If you prefer to opt out, please notify us in writing (email is fine).

  • App content is secure and used only for daily updates, logs, and parent engagement.

 

9. Personal Belongings

  • Please label all items (leads, jackets, treats). We cannot be responsible for lost, damaged, or unlabelled belongings.

 

10. Discontinuation of Services

  • We reserve the right to pause or withdraw services if a puppy is no longer suited to the group environment, or if terms are breached.

  • Owners may cancel ongoing enrolment at any time with one week’s notice.

  • In the event of temporary closure due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., government restrictions, severe weather, facility issues, or contagious illness outbreaks), prepaid sessions will be credited or extended at no extra charge. In the case of a confirmed contagious illness outbreak, we will notify all owners immediately and may pause daycare temporarily.

 

11. Agreement & Acceptance

By proceeding with your booking or purchase, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full and acknowledge the inherent risks of group puppy play.
